7-16-2010:    We have a linear supply using Jensen 4 pole caps and a split bobbin transformer for the Oppo as well as more enhancements across the board.  Please see our Oppo pages for more info.

2-12-2010:      Super fast, low impedance, fully discrete (no op amps) shunt regulators combined with all poly film bypass caps (most film caps hand modified) have arrived!   These new power supplies are another level better than anything we have ever heard.....better than highly modified Dexa regs, better than Burson Regs, better than Audiocom Invisus regs, tent regs, whatever.   Simply more real, faster, purer, and more dimensional.....more texture.  More info to come.

12-09-09:    Oppo has released an SE version of their player using ESS Sabre 32 bit DACs on the two channel out and a 24 bit ESS Sabre DAC for the multichannel outs.  We have units here and have been working out mods on them.....really great.  Please see Oppo page for more info. We should be able to do most all the same mods to them as we are currently implementing on the standard

11-07-09:    The EVS clock 1 has now become the EVS clock 2.  We added a separate transformer, raw supply and ground isolation to our already great clock and now it is mucho better.  Simply more sweet, analog and real sounding.  Price is now $350 including installation.

10-16-09:  We have added zero feedback buffers as an option on the 2 channel outputs of our Oppo mod and also the all out Oppo 2 channel/multichannel mod (everything we do) is now available with dual mono 2 channel outputs.


10-08-09:     We are finally getting caught up so we can now do basic mods to the Oppo machine at any time and more advanced mods are only running about 2 weeks.

10-06-09:     Another Breakthrough as of last night:  We have now done another mod to the transport in the Oppo that transforms the sound tremendously.  We are now calling our transport mod "Transport Magic".   The mod comes as part of the Basic mod......WoW! is all I can say. 

10-01-09:    The Oppo Blue Ray player mods just keep getting better!!!!  We have found another mo' better high current wide band amplifier that sounds amazingly even more like nothing (transparent) when used with our latest fully discrete shunt regulators and film cap power supply caps.  We are now using this output stage in all our mods.  We can also install it with dual mono regulators for even better sound.  It is so good that we feel no need to design discrete circuits and has better bass and dynamics than any transformer based output stage.  We are also now using zero feedback buffers as the standard output device in our advanced multichannel mods.  Super!  Also balanced outs  are now available on the Oppo.

We will be finishing a pair of mono block 175 watt class A/B amps in less than two weeks.  This pair of amps will be the only one that I make with this new "Hybrid Chip" Technology.  We use a 30 mono block version of this circuit here as our reference and is better sonically than any modded Class D amp we sold.  Someone is going to get a very special pair of amps.  Please see Specials for Sale for more info.

Mods to the Slim Devices Transporter have also been improved using our new output stage.  We can install this output stage for $500 in your Transporter.....you have to hear this!!!! 

 

10-13-2008: We have developed a proprietary low jitter clock that is sonically superior to both the Audiocom Superclock 4 and the Dexaclock.  This discrete regulated clock gives more detail and reality than any other clock under $600.  We install the EVSClock1 for $250 (superceded by EVS Clock 2...see above) in most of our products.  We no longer use the Superclock 4 in our mods.  The EVSClock 1 is sonically superior to the the Superclock 4 which is slightly better than the modified Dexaclock we have here.

We have added news on the Behringer DCX2496 xover mods.   The Behringer xover can be used as a stand alone DAC .....it normally upsamples the digital inputs to 24/96 and then you could use all its eq functions to fully eq your speakers/room.
